Compliance & consumer rights

Know your rights before sharing a report, signing an agreement or choosing a service. This overview is not legal advice or a certification of CRX's compliance.

ⓘ Your rights under the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA) (tap to read)

You have a right to dispute inaccurate information in your credit report by contacting the credit bureau directly, at no cost. Neither you nor any credit repair company has the right to have accurate, current and verifiable information removed from your credit report. You have the right to cancel your contract with any credit repair organization for any reason within 3 business days from the date you signed it (CRX gives you 5 days). A copy of the full “Consumer Credit File Rights Under State and Federal Law” disclosure is provided before you sign up.

ⓘ 5-day right to cancel (tap to read)

You may cancel your agreement without penalty or obligation before midnight of the fifth (5th) day after signing — longer than the 3 business days federal law requires. To cancel, use the cancel option in your portal or email support@creditcrx.com. Any payment made will be refunded within 10 days.

ⓘ Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) (tap to read)

Under the FCRA you are entitled to a free copy of your credit report from each nationwide bureau every 12 months at AnnualCreditReport.com, and bureaus generally must investigate disputes within 30 days.

ⓘ No guarantee of specific results (tap to read)

We cannot guarantee that any particular item will be removed or that your score will increase by a specific amount. Results depend on each person's credit history. Testimonials and examples are not typical and do not guarantee similar outcomes.

ⓘ Not legal or financial advice (tap to read)

Credit CRX™ is not a law firm and does not provide legal, tax or financial advice. AI-generated letters are educational tools; review them before sending.

ⓘ State availability (tap to read)

Credit CRX™ is self-service software available in 47 states. It is not offered to residents of California, Georgia or North Carolina. Your state may give you additional consumer rights; visit the compliance center for official state resources.

CROA disclosures

  • You can dispute credit report errors yourself for free.
  • Accurate, current and verifiable information cannot legitimately be removed just because it is negative.
  • Credit repair organizations cannot charge or receive payment for agreed services before they are fully performed.
  • A written agreement must describe the services, total cost, timing and cancellation rights. The required “Consumer Credit File Rights Under State and Federal Law” disclosure is separate from this website summary.
  • Federal law gives you 3 business days to cancel. CRX gives you more: you may cancel within 5 days of signing with no penalty, and the tools unlock only after that period ends.
  • CRX is self-service software, but we voluntarily follow these rules so every client is protected.

FCRA: your right to dispute

You may dispute inaccurate or incomplete information with the reporting bureau and the company that supplied it. Include the specific issue and supporting records. Investigations generally take 30 days, with up to 45 days in some circumstances; results generally follow within five business days of completion. Disputes do not guarantee a deletion or a score increase.

Get reports through the federally authorized AnnualCreditReport.com. You do not need to buy credit repair services to exercise your rights.
